My Mother-A Poem about to be Published in 'Stars in our Hearts' a book of poems

Alright Hubbers, if you know me from these Hubs you would know that I love my mother. She is my rock in a world almost full to the brim with pebbles. I love her and this poem is for her. I just wrote it off the top of my head and submitted it. So I just got a letter yesterday saying that I am a semi-finalist and my poem will be published! I have never been published ever and I am so excited! My mother also cried when I read it to her, so I'm guessing she loved it. It was only supposed to be no more than 20 lines, so I did a nice even 10 lines for my poem.

My Mother was both parents,
The dad I never had.
She always made the best sense,
Never said that he was bad.
Let me give her all my vents,
Like when I would get so mad.
She was also there when I had some dents,
And to fix them up a tad.
I love her more than anything in the world,
Much more so than my dad.
